Brat Powr's Mission
The intention behind Brat Powr Media Center is to have an online community for artists and pop-culture junkies to discuss theory and discover hidden gems. We want to inspire proactive conversation and artistic advancement amongst our users by embracing vulnerability and allowing each other room for collective growth.
"Brat Powr" is not a reference to overindulging in materials or seeking excess amounts of attention. We invite a diverse array of users to take up space, demand more from creative industries, & create new communities that allow them to feel liberated.
About the Editor
tomboymadi7 (she/they) is our Founder and Editor-in-Chief. She is a multidisciplinary artist whose work centers coming-of-age and inner healing. After leaving film school still struggling to define her artistic values, she decided to create Brat Powr Media Center. This site was designed as a home for fellow artists seeking community where they can feel heard and find what aligns with them, whilst knowing there's space for us all. Her dream is to continue to make work that encourages people to pave their own way.
